STEPS:

Any person wishing to apply for membership is required to fill out a membership application and attend a safety orientation class at the club. This safety orientation class is conducted in the clubhouse at 8:30 AM on Sunday mornings as scheduled on the club calendar. This safety orientation class is required by all applicants with No Exceptions including Juniors. If attending this safety orientation is not possible at the scheduled date and time then other arrangements can be made by sending an email to membership email below. No membership cards will be issued until the safety orientation form is signed off by a range safety officer and presented to the membership secretary with the application and payment on the night of a general membership meeting. This is when all new members are presented to the club members to be voted into the club.

Monthly meetings are generally held on the first Monday of every month, see calendrer. (New members SHOULD attend the meeting to be voted in. Any absence should be approved by membership using the below email address)

The cost of joining is as follows:

Full Membership: $150.00 Application Fee, plus annual dues of $170.00 per year for a total of $320.00. Each year there after the dues will be $170.00 due September 1st.
Spouse: $65.00 annual - No application fee
Juniors: (under 18) $10.00 annual - No application fee
NOTE: The fees are adjusted starting in May to reflect a partial year. Wait until the day of orientation to pay.

Any member who is serving in the military (on active duty) or attending full time college is exempt from paying dues each year after joining. Military members must submit a copy of their military ID card; college students are required to submit a copy of their college ID and class schedule when returning the dues notice. Applications can be downloaded above or picked up any Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. in the Clubhouse.

Please DO NOT send your membership application to the club or the Membership Secretary. Bring the completed application to the club with payment on the day you are planning to do your safety orientation so the safety officer can sign it. Register for orientation & tour here

Please read this notice completely before asking any question(s). Contact ocsa_membership@googlegroups.com with all dues related questions. Include all membership numbers your are inquiring about with your question(s) or the email may not be answered. Our membership team is all volunteer so please allow at least 7 days for a response. Non electronic payments are only deposited twice a month so do not expect payments to post instantly.

NOTE: The electronic payment system cannot be used if you have credit for any work parties over the past year or for any partial payments. New members who were sworn in at the June, July or August membership meetings have prepaid their dues for the next membership year (September 1, 2024 thru August 31, 2025) and can ignore this process.

NOTE: All members will receive a bill regardless of what they owe, even life members. The bill is for your and our records and contains information on our two annual fundraisers and provide the opportunity to donate to same.

The membership secretary would like to STRONGLY remind everyone of the following points.

When sending mail to the club the only acceptable address is the clubs PO Box, not the street address.
The membership database is organized around your membership number. Failure to use your membership number will delay our response to you, the accuracy of your record search, and the processing of your payment.
If sending email to ocsa_membership@googlegroups.com with questions about your bill(s) or membership in general, place your membership number from the front of your badge or the invoice into the email subject line or at the top of your question.
Place the membership number or number(s) for everyone on all checks.
If dropping the check off, place the check in the mail slot on the membership office door. NOT in the mailbox on the outside deck as that is for vendors and is not collected by the membership team.
Electronic payments for non discounted (regular) dues may be made online at https://old-colony.org/ocsa-store. Please note that electronic service fees are applied to online payments.
After payment deadlines, the online store will be adjusted for late & reactivation fees. CLICK HERE to renew.

Payment information:

The dues renewal is $170.00 + fees below
Spouse: $65.00 + fees below
Juniors: (under 18) $10.00
Any member who is serving in the military (on active duty) or attending college is exempt from paying dues each year after joining, but he or she must notify the membership secretary in writing and document the college or military exemption each year, (Military ID, current college ID & class schedule).
The deadline for all dues payments is 4 pm on October 15th, (in the office, not postmarked by). A late fee of $20 dollars will apply after this date
Members in arrears as of 4 pm on Nov 15th, (in the office, not postmarked by) will be deactivated and access card privileges revoked. A $20 dollar late fee and $10 card re-activation fee will apply after this date
Annual 50/50 raffle $ 10 (proceeds to benefit Youth Programs)
Annual Life Membership Raffle $ 10 (proceeds to benefit the scholarship fund)

It is imperative we have each members current and correct email address. Dues renewal notices will be emailed no later than August 15th to the email address on file with the membership secretary. If your email has changed in the last year please update it by contacting the membership team at the below link.

PAYING BY CHECK: Dues may be paid before the deadlines by depositing a check for the total in the slot on the office door at the clubhouse (not the vendors slip mailbox). Make sure to include your name, membership number (from front of badge or invoice), and the membership numbers for everyone you are paying for. Checks without membership numbers the will be destroyed.

ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS: paying by credit card is possible by using the appropriate option at the OCSA_STORE. Please keep in mind that electronic service fees apply and that we cannot process range credits or other discounts using the electronic payment system. You must “Check Out” of the shopping cart or the payment will not complete. If successful you will receive an email response from the system. Watch this video

UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION: To update your membership information with the club, or inquire about your dues bill or non-working card send your request to: ocsa_membership@googlegroups.com. INCLUDE your membership number in the email.

FOR ALL QUESTIONS: Include your name, membership number (from front of badge or invoice), and the reason for your email. Membership questions sent to any other email will not be answered.
